Not Your Mama's Account

Vantage Credit Union is proud to offer Not Your Mama's Account for the 18 to 25 crowd—the first of its kind in the Greater St. Louis area!

Free checking with Swipe2Save feature
The basis of our new service offering is a free checking account that allows you to choose to save automatically per debit transaction with our new Swipe2Save feature using your Not Your Mama's Account debit card. You specify what amount you’d like to save per transaction, and that amount is automatically transferred to your Regular Savings from your checking. The amount saved per daily transactions will be transferred within two business days. You’ll also be able to set a low-balance threshold to stop the transfers when you get to your pre-set low balance amount. It’s an easy way for you to start building your savings!

Groundbreaking online account management
Not Your Mama’s Account is truly a first-of-its-kind when it comes to online account management. In addition to standard banking and bill pay capabilities, this next generation of online banking includes features such as:

  • Personal finance tool that uses keyword “tagging” and feeds spending/saving forecasts to help you with budgeting

  • Merchant ads and coupon offers to help you save money, and you can share with friends! (Coupons/offers tied to actual transaction history will be available with a later release.)

  • Social media integration that incorporates real-time feeds from your own Facebook account, and feeds from our VantageCU Twitter account and website

  • Value-offer summaries shows the value of using your Not Your Mama's Account by summarizing let you know how much you’ve saved on Vantage offers/savings and rebates received

  • All-inclusive landing page that incorporates a high-level total services view, your spending forecast, holds/alerts, last 5 transactions, upcoming bills, quick transfer feature, spending tags, merchant ads and coupons, Vantage offers/savings and rebates, and social media feeds, all in one single view

Unlimited POS Fee rebates
You don’t always have time to run to the ATM for cash. Now you can get the cash back you need at the point-of-purchase and know that every PIN-based POS Fee incurred will be rebated back to your Regular Savings at the end of the month! The way you qualify for this benefit is by making at least one electronic deposit (remote deposit or direct deposit) per month of $250 (cumulative) and by being enrolled to receive e-statements.

Oops NSF Fee rebates

Sometimes you have slip-ups. It happens. Now, Not Your Mama’s Account holders may receive one Oops NSF Fee rebate every 6 months to cushion those oops. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn positive account management and show that your credit union responds to your needs. Each Oops NSF Fee rebate must be requested by you, and will be honored per 6-month period January–June and July–December.
