Vantage Identity Protection

Like it or not, identity theft is a growing problem, but there are precautions you can take to help ensure your security. In keeping with our tradition of helping members with all aspects of their financial lives, Vantage announces our Vantage Identity Protection (VIP) program.

VIP is a new program offered exclusively to Vantage members. This program provides comprehensive protection against identity theft and fraud, increasing your protection and improving security. Services include:

Identity Theft Insurance with Fraud Assistance––you’ll receive up to $10,000 in financial compensation (guaranteed coverage/no deductible) in the recovery of your stolen identity. Fraud Assistance is included and is a comprehensive service designed to clear your good name using expert assistance in organizing paperwork, advising on creditor notification and more.

Fraud Assist Toolbox––an online tool that helps streamline the identity theft prevention and recovery process.

  • Set fraud alerts, stop pre-approved credit offers, or stop telemarketing calls.

  • We will remind you by e-mail when it's time to follow up or when you should have received responses, and reminder e-mails for follow-up tasks.

Card Patrol––this helps prevent ID theft before it occurs by providing real-time online monitoring of credit/debit cards, and immediate notification via e-mail if any suspicious activity has been detected on your registered cards. The fraud support provided with the Card Patrol offers:

  • Assistance with how to contact fraud departments at issuing financial institutions concerning reissuing new cards and account numbers.

  • An investigation to determine if any other personal information was compromised beyond the monitored credit/debit card.

  • A caseworker to help you in the event other personal information is exposed (SSN, mother’s maiden name, etc.) so no further fraud can be committed.

Credit Alert––this 24-hour, daily monitoring service automatically alerts you to certain negative changes to your credit. It doesn’t prevent ID theft, but it helps limit any damage it may cause. You’ll be provided with access to a Credit Information Hotline staffed by highly trained experts ready to assist you with frequently asked questions.

Payment Card Protection––credit, debit, ATM and check cards are all protected in the event of loss or theft. You can cancel your card(s), stop unauthorized use, and request new cards 24/7 with one simple call. Plus, you’re covered for any issuer liability. Convenient emergency features are also available if your card is lost/stolen and you’re more than 50 miles away from home:

  • Obtain up to $300 in emergency cash at one of over 245,000 Western Union locations in 200 countries.

  • Receive an airline ticket to get home.

You will be invoiced for emergency cash and/or airline tickets only; no other service charges will apply. Also, cash and/or tickets will not be charged to your reissued credit card.

For a low subscription fee of just $8.95 per month, you’ll be protected from numerous possible fraud scenarios beyond identity theft. In addition, you’ll receive preventative protection to help minimize potential damage should you become a victim of fraud.
